About DIAL

What is DIAL and how does it work?

DIAL (Differential Absorption LIDAR) is a laser based method of measuring and mapping concentrations and mass emissions of various molecules in the lower atmosphere.

It is non-invasive and single-ended, and gives concentration profiles and mass emissions of various species in the area being surveyed.
